Leverage Your MassBio Membership to Achieve Your 2017 Resolutions!

Jan 05, 2017

Resolutions for the new year and a MassBio membership may not seem like they share much in common on the surface. However, there are many ways you can take advantage of your membership to stay on track and achieve all your goals for 2017. Here are some ways MassBio's network can help with some of the most popular resolutions:

Be a better person.
For the first time since 2014, there's a new leader at the top of the resolution list in 2017, according to Marist Poll. Coincidently, it also aligns with MassBio's #PATIENTDRIVEN® resolution of raising awareness for organ donation and working to register our members to #DonateLife. By registering to be an organ donor, you can offer life to others. Each registration serves as a symbol of hope to every patient awaiting a lifesaving or healing transplant. Already registered? Great! Join us in our mission of spreading the word and getting as many people as possible to sign up as a donor. Throughout January, we'll be at MassBio events spreading the word and encouraging registration.

If you have a goal of advancing professionally in the new year, be sure to register at the MassBio Career Center, the source for biotech and life sciences jobs in Boston, Cambridge, Massachusetts, New England and beyond. With nearly 1,000 active job postings, our career center is a fantastic resource for those seeking professional advancement.

More exercise and losing weight.
If you work in the Cambridge area, consider walking to MassBio for our member Forums and networking events instead of driving. Our Employee Rewards program has an entire category dedicated to health and wellness; it includes everything from gym memberships to boot camps and yoga. You can even charter a mobile indoor cycling studio for your company!

Spending less and saving more.
It's no secret that MassBio has the key to helping your organization cut costs by aggregating the purchasing power of the 950+ member companies within MassBio. Our Purchasing Consortium saves our member companies more than $40 million each year.

We can help you save money on a personal level, too! Our Employee Rewards program is growing at a rapid pace and has many opportunities for savings on products and services you most likely already use. The rewards program includes car rentals, food & catering, entertainment & tickets, learning opportunities and more. Don't' forget that your membership gets you reduced rates for MassBioEd programs and nearly all our networking events and Forums are free for members to attend.

Be more social.
Let's face it: when there are lives to be saved, there is always work to do. But work/life balance is important, and MassBio can help you find your zen! Network with colleagues and friends at one of our membership mixers, hosted in growing and thriving biotech areas throughout the year. Our membership team also organizes outings to see the teams that make Boston the greatest sports town in the country: be sure to keep an eye on our event calendar for upcoming networking opportunities and outings.

Outside of the industry, you can use your Employee Rewards card to get exclusive rates for activities you can enjoy with friends and family. Enjoy a day on the slopes, or an evening at Monster Jam. We also have partnerships with Zoo New England, the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston and more. Enjoy a day with family while keeping your financial resolution.

From all of us at MassBio, we hope your 2017 is a year of health, happiness and prosperity!
