Statement from MassBio President & CEO Robert K. Coughlin on the appointment of Travis McCready as President & CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center:
On behalf of MassBio, we are thrilled to congratulate Travis McCready as the new President & CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. Travis’ strong understanding of the life sciences cluster and background in program management and measurement is particularly well suited to the work of the Center.
We stand ready to work with Travis and Governor Baker's team as we embark on a new era and reinvigorate the Life Sciences Initiative and the Commonwealth’s commitment to the life sciences industry. The MassBio team and I know Travis from his time at Harvard University, as the head of the Kendall Square Association and his work on workforce development at the Boston Foundation. I am confident he truly understands and supports the kinds of public-private partnerships that are critical to maintaining a world-leading life sciences hub.
We look forward to working closely with Travis and the team at the MLSC as they continue to provide impactful support to the Massachusetts life sciences supercluster.
