MassBio Seeking Co-Chairs for New Non-Profit Forum Working Group

Mar 08, 2016

MassBio is pleased to announce the inauguration of the new Non-Profit Forum Working Group.

We are currently seeking volunteers to Co-Chair this Working Group and help make its pilot year a success!

Non-Profit Working Group Mission

To provide a Forum where Massachusetts nonprofit organizations in the life science industry can intersect with each other and with for-profit companies for mutual benefit and to share best practices. Discussions will address all aspects of healthcare non-profit operations including academia/industry collaboration, novel business models, non-profit operations and workforce development. In addition, Forum meetings will provide an education in and opportunities for philanthropy enabling those vested in both corporate social responsibility and innovation to discover non-profit organizations for collaboration.

MassBio hosts multiple monthly Forums on a wide breadth of topics in the life sciences industry. Forums give members the opportunity to visit MassBio on a regular basis to network and learn more about our complex, ever-changing industry.

Forum Working Group Co-Chairs are tasked with planning and executing presentations and panel discussions, from brainstorming and reaching out to speakers, to spreading the word through their networks to drive attendance. Co-Chairs participate in regularly scheduled planning meetings 1-2 times monthly and as needed when a Forum is in process.

Take on a new professional challenge and help us strengthen the non-profit sector of the industry! To apply, please fill out an application by April 1st and return to forums@massbio.org with “Non-Profit Working Group” in the subject line.

Have questions? Please contact Susan Silberman and include “Non-Profit Working Group” in your message.
