Premier Conferences

MassBio’s premier conferences are the embodiment of our role as a convener, connector, and catalyzer. These conference-scale events are where speakers, panelists, and presenters with a passion for the industry’s patient-driven work share their deep knowledge and provide successful strategies that can be implemented across the ecosystem. They are venues for building relationships, broadening horizons, and being inspired.

Policy Leadership Breakfast

Policy Leadership Breakfast is an agenda-setting convening of life sciences leaders, government affairs executives, and state and federal elected officials held in the shadow of the Statehouse on Beacon Hill. The breakfast is an opportunity for the industry to discuss the most pressing policy initiatives and highlight the economic impact for the sector, while also providing policymakers a place to share their priorities. This event is invite-only.

State of Possible Conference (MassBio’s Annual Meeting)

The State of Possible Conference is the premier event for the Massachusetts life sciences industry. Over the course of the day, attendees from the lab to the C-suite are exposed to engaging panel discussions and informative keynotes on what’s next in both the science and business of biopharma. This year’s milestone program will honor our history as we look back on four decades of innovation in the Massachusetts life sciences ecosystem, as well as a forward-looking view on how Massachusetts will retain its position of global leadership.

Align Summit

An annual early-stage innovation and partnering conference, Align Summit builds relationships between funders and emerging/small biotechs by showcasing the best and brightest in the life sciences. The day features pitches from 50+ seed/series A startups, thought-provoking keynotes and panels, and continuous one-on-one partnering meeting access.

Women’s Health Symposium

In partnership with the MA Caucus of Women Legislators, this convening of the biotech community, legislative leaders, and patients brings into focus the issue of women’s health, including persistent gender bias in drug development, and care delivery. Identifying barriers and uncovering solutions related to women’s health empowers the public and private sectors to collaborate and direct resources toward advancing health equity.

BIO International Convention

The BIO International Convention is the largest global event for the biotechnology industry. Join us in the Massachusetts Pavilion during the BIO International Convention. The Pavilion will be buzzing with activity surrounding our engaging speaking program, interactive exhibit and lively meeting spaces.

Patient Advocacy Summit

Patient Advocacy Summit, one of MassBio’s most popular events of the year, is a boot camp of sorts that delivers an agenda packed with learnings, case studies, and best practices on how life sciences companies can more fully incorporate the patient voice throughout the life cycle of drug development. The summit connects the patient advocacy community, caregivers, healthcare professionals, academia, and the industry at-large for an opportunity to build relationships, share policy priorities, and better understand the patients and their diseases.

Thought Leadership

MassBio’s member-exclusive thought leadership events drive industry awareness, foster community, and provide a platform for networking, sharing best practices, and addressing key challenges.
