This program provides the most current evidence-based recommendations for prescribing diabetes medications, including newer pharmacologic classes such as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1r) and sodium glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLTi) medications. Using robust case studies, participants will practice and gain confidence in applying new knowledge to successfully manage complex adult patients with T2DM.
Participants will learn to:
- co-create glycemic goals with patients
- prescribe insulin regimens, and
- select medications to treat type 2 diabetes (T2DM) along with other comorbidities.
