AI adoption in health care is rapidly accelerating, and many patients may not trust the technology. Health leaders are making adoption, oversight, and accountability decisions in real time, most of them without the safety net of federal or state regulation. Join The Massachusetts Health Council’s “Human-Centric AI Summit: Shaping the Future of Equitable Healthcare,” on September 25, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge, an official event of Boston AI Week 2026.

The Summit convenes leaders from hospitals, health plans, public health agencies, academia, community organizations, and health technology, who will spend the day balancing innovation, privacy, and patient safety with human-centered, responsible design and use of AI in healthcare.  Attendees will practice AI governance on the actual challenges facing organizations today, in honest conversation about what has already failed and what is working.

Every participant leaves with a 90-Day AI Governance Action Plan tied to improvements in patient safety, workforce trust, and equitable outcomes, along with practical tools to assess change readiness, measure stakeholder impact, and evaluate value beyond financial metrics.
