Avastus Preclinical Services provides OLAW-certified laboratory vivarium space and procedure rooms to our clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Our comprehensive approach to animal welfare is a key aspect of our business. We work closely with each client, offering flexible rental agreements that allow our clients to adjust coverage to meet workflow needs while significantly reducing their administrative costs. The Avastus animal husbandry and facility management programs offer full oversight of all vivarium operations at our client’s worksites including: animal husbandry, program development, staff oversight, inventory management, training, project coordination, and conduct/ host audits and inspections. The Avastus management team has worked with more than 30 companies in the New England area and have achieved AAALAC accreditations for many of our clients. The Avastus Regulatory Compliance team holds extensive knowledge in the preclinical field. The services that we offer are: protocol design, IACUC representation (multiple levels), protocol reviews, compliance monitoring, investigator training, grant submittals and more. We are also capable of providing a board certified D.V.M. to conduct veterinary reviews and oversight. Our Contract Research Services hosts Proof-of-Concept and innovative research studies at any level. Avastus offers support through all stages of research including in vitro assay development, proof of concept and drug efficacy in many animal models of human disease. Our experienced staff can assist clients in the appropriate selection of animal disease models, study design, and bioanalytical assays to best fit the study requirements.
