Chesley Chen, Principal, CLA Life Sciences, is a mentor for two companies selected to participate in the 1st Cohort of the M2D2 IMPACT Accelerator Program. M2D2 (The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center), a UMass Lowell and UMass Chan Medical School initiative, offers a wide range of services to the inventors and executives of Massachusetts smaller bio-tech and medical device companies. M2D2 has recently created IMPACT (Innovative Medical Products – Action, Commercialization, Technology), a 12-week accelerator program for inventors, entrepreneurs, start-ups and researchers. The program is designed for early to mid-stage biotech and medical device start-ups and will provide 1:1 mentorship, education workshops, access to lab equipment, and connections to resources needed for commercialization. Finalists for the IMPACT program were selected in October and will meet with mentors throughout the 12-week program to refine their business plans and presentations in preparation for Showcase Day on December 17th.
