Greenberg Traurig Continues IP and Life Sciences Growth in Boston

BOSTON – Oct. 25, 2021 Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLPcontinues the strategic growth of its Intellectual Property & Technology (IP)and Life Sciences & Medical TechnologyPractices in the firm’s Bostonoffice adding two associates and two Ph.D. technology specialists.

Joshua I. Rudawitzand Korey A. Wilson, Ph.D. are joining as associates and are the latest additions to a growing IP team in Boston that earlier this year added three life sciences patent attorneysand over 15 IP and life sciences attorneys and professionals across the firm. Also joining Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office in the Intellectual Property & Technology and Life Sciences & Medical Technology practices are technology specialists Samantha Pilicer, who holds a Ph.D. in chemistry, and Lisa L. Scudder, who holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology.

Rudawitz has more than 10 years of multi-faceted strategic IP law experience, including as a primary patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and counseling clients of various sizes with their intellectual property needs. He focuses his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patents and trademarks in fields including medical instruments and devices, mechanical devices, consumer electronics, software and mobile applications, and business and commercial methods. Rudawitz’s experience also includes turbine engines, printing devices, consumer mechanical pump technology, additive manufacturing, exoskeleton devices, firearm accessories, and electronic components.
 
Wilson draws upon combined experience in biology and patent law to help clients build and implement tailored patent strategies. With a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology, he has broad experience working with life sciences companies in areas including diagnostics, therapeutics, and genomics. His practice includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications, performing patentability analyses, assessing freedom-to-operate positions, and performing diligence-related tasks to address issues that arise out of company transactions.
