Greenberg Traurig Hosts Multiple Events for BIO International Convention in Boston

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP hosted a series of events in its Boston office in conjunction with the 2025 BIO International Convention June 17-18. Designed for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical technology leaders, these events offered timely legal insights, strategic networking, and innovation showcases. 

On June 17, Greenberg Traurig hosted a luncheon seminar on “Building Your IP Strategy to Succeed in the U.S.” The session opened with welcome remarks by Koichiro Ohashi, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Japan Practice, and Wayne H. Elowe, co-chair of the firm’s global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group. Dr. Melissa Hunter-Ensor, co-chair of the firm’s Patents and Innovation Strategies Group, and David J. Dykeman, co-chair of the global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group and co-managing shareholder of the Boston office, shared valuable insights about intellectual property (IP) strategy for life sciences companies looking to enter or expand in the U.S. market. Attendees learned how a strong IP strategy can drive company valuation, attract key investors and partners, and support long-term commercial success. 

On the evening of June 17, the firm hosted a Life Sciences & MedTech Networking Reception attended by hundreds of life sciences executives, entrepreneurs, and investors.

On June 18, Greenberg Traurig hosted and sponsored Demo Day by HomeLab, a leading life sciences accelerator and residency program operated by LabFellows within the Center for Novel Therapeutics. The event spotlighted founders tackling the world’s biggest challenges with innovative novel therapeutics, artificial intelligence in biotech, sustainability/biomaterials, and tools & diagnostics representing top universities and research institutions. Dykeman, Shareholder Michael L. Hebert, Ph.D., and Associate Elena Rodriguez attended, connecting with emerging leaders and supporting groundbreaking innovation in life sciences.
