BOSTON – Sept. 22, 2022 – Chinh H. Pham, co-chair of the Venture Capital & Emerging Technology Practice and co-chair of the Boston Intellectual Property (IP) & Technology Practice of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has begun a one-year term as president of the Boston Bar Association (BBA), effective this month. As president, Pham will collaborate with BBA volunteer leaders, Association members, and community partners to advance the organization’s mission of promoting the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitating access to justice, fostering a diverse and inclusive professional community, and serving the community at large. He also will work to ensure that coming out of the pandemic, there will be professional development, training, and network building opportunities to help BBA members develop successful practices and careers.

The BBA and its members have been instrumental in setting the standards of excellence for the legal profession in Boston and across the country. Pham has been an active member of the BBA and the Boston business and legal communities for many years. He served as the BBA president-elect from 2021-22, and previously served as BBA vice president (2020-2021), BBA treasurer (2019-2020), BBA secretary (2017-2018), BBA executive committee member (2016-2018), and council member (2014-2017). He also served on the BBA Nomination Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, as chair of the Joint Finance Committee, and as chair of the BBA Life Sciences Industry Group. Pham also is a member of the board of trustees of the Museum of Science, Boston, and a past president of the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys. In addition, Pham serves as an attorney-in-residence at the Harvard Innovation Labs, and as a company mentor at Northwestern University’s The Garage, MassChallenge, MassDiGi (Digital Games Institute), and Northeastern University’s IDEA.
