Greenberg Traurig’s Mian R. Wang Elected to MCLE Board of Trustees

BOSTON – Nov. 1, 2022 – Mian R. Wang, a Litigation shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Boston office, was elected a trustee of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) board. Wang’s three-year term began Oct. 26.

In collaboration with fellow trustees, as a member of the Finance Committee, Wang will be responsible for reviewing budgets and financial performance; reporting any financial irregularities, concerns, or opportunities to the board of directors; recommending financial guidelines, policies, and goals to the board of directors; working with staff to design financial reports and ensuring that reports are accurate and timely; meeting and working with an independent auditor, reviewing the annual audit, responding to the auditor’s recommendations, and evaluating the auditor’s performance; selecting and meeting with the organization’s investment advisors to oversee short- and long-term investments and making investment policy recommendations to the board of directors; recommending annual spending policy for endowment; and anticipating and planning for long-term financial issues.

Wang focuses her practice on high-stakes business litigation. She represents public and private companies, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals before state and federal courts in complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation.

Wang was honored with an “Emerging Women Leaders in the Law” award by the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts in 2021, named among the “40 Under 40” by the Boston Business Journal in 2020, selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in 2020, and recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America 2023.
