Monash University-Brigham and Women’s Hospital collaboration leads the way

A 17-year collaboration between Monash University and Brigham and Women’s Hospital demonstrates the real-world potential of international research partnerships here in Boston. Recently featured in Sleep Review, researchers are using wearable technology and large-scale data to better understand how sleep duration, timing, regularity and other daily behaviours influence long-term health. What began as an exchange of researchers between Melbourne and Boston has grown into a jointly funded program spanning basic physiology, clinical trials and public health, producing more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and creating new opportunities to translate sleep research into scalable digital health applications.
