Guest Speakers
Lei Shi, PhD, is Senior Vice President of Biointron. He has more than 20 years of experience in antibody discovery. Previously Lei worked for a number of pharmaceutical and biotech companies such as Johnson & Johnson with increasing responsibilities, He completed his postdoc research at MGH and Harvard Medical School and has an Executive Masters degree from University of Pennsylvania.
Qiming Wang earned his Ph.D. in Genetics from Tufts University. His research focused on investigating the effectiveness and mechanisms of antibody-based B-lymphocytes targeting approaches in the preclinical studies of autoimmune diseases including Type 1 diabetes (T1D), Sjogren’s Syndrome (SS), and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). The strategies include B cell depletion therapies and interference with B cell stimulation or maturation. Upon graduation, Dr. Wang joined The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) bridging science and commerce. During his time at JAX, Qiming had defined its go-to-market strategy in China and lead cross-functional teams to drive market penetration and revenue growth. Now as Director of Product Strategy and Strategic Partnerships at Cyagen, he drives global expansion of advanced research models, forging alliances with foundations and biopharma companies to accelerate drug discovery.
