Nitto Avecia Announces Major Facility Renovation Project
MILFORD, MA — Nitto Avecia Inc. (Avecia) announced today a major facility renovation project to expand the company’s analytical development and process development capacity. These new state-of-the-art Analytical and Process Development laboratories will enable an increase in existing Process Development operations by 70% and returns the Analytical Development laboratories, currently located in Marlborough, back to the main Milford site. The Process Development laboratories, currently at the Milford Site, will be relocated to a newly renovated space under the same roof as the Analytical Development laboratories, continuing to strengthen and grow the synergistic relationship across the two groups.
The renovation will provide space for close to 100 new employees, including new offices, collaboration spaces, and conference rooms allowing the relocation of all existing employees and equipment from the two sites as well as space to expand capabilities. In anticipation of increased stability sample demand at the Milford site, the new design plan will incorporate additional Quality Control Stability capabilities in the future as well.
Finally, with the increase in the number of Personalized Medicine opportunities, a dedicated Personalized Medicines Room will be added to support the development of products intended to treat a single patient and a specific indication.
The renovations and transitions are currently underway, with the new Analytical and Process Development laboratories expected to be fully operational December 2021.
The expanded capacity will create many new full-time positions over the next several months that will specialize in analytical chemistry, process development chemistry, and manufacturing. More information on open positions at any of the Avecia facilities may be found at www.aveciacareers.com.
