At UCB, our researchers come to work driven by a singular purpose – to create value for people living with severe disease. That’s because patients depend on the important work of scientific research to discover new medical innovations that will help them achieve their goals.

Our research impact is growing in Massachusetts, with our new focus on next-generation therapies, such as those working through targeted protein degradation and in the future with gene therapy. To showcase this growth, earlier this week, our research team in Bedford was pleased to host State Representative Ken Gordon and representatives from State Senator Mike Barrett’s office, U.S. Representative Seth Moulton’s office, MassBio, the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, Middlesex 3 Coalition, and the Town of Bedford Economic Development office as well as other stakeholders. The meeting included a tour of our facility and an overview of the science happening at the site, its potential impact on patients, and our growth in the greater Boston biotech community.

To fuel our expanding research, we look forward to seeing our capabilities continue to grow and welcome new bench researchers and data scientists so we can continue to explore, innovate, and deliver solutions for patients living with severe disease, as well as the greater Boston community.
