ScriptBio AI is a causal-AI target-discovery company for diseases of aging. Roughly nine in ten drugs fail in the clinic, most often because they were aimed at the wrong target. We go after that at the root: our platform trains a foundation model on 541,607 human joint cells spanning four joint tissues, 39 donors, and five independent studies to separate healthy aging from disease, then applies causal inference to pinpoint the genes that actually drive tissue degeneration, not just the ones that correlate with it. In knee osteoarthritis, our lead indication, the engine produced a ranked shortlist of candidate drivers that is significantly enriched for genetically validated disease genes and led by novel targets rather than familiar ones. Our lead program is an engineered cell therapy that senses inflammation in the joint and releases a protective payload on demand. We have filed a US provisional patent, work from LabCentral in Cambridge, and are advancing our lead toward IND-enabling studies. Our goal is simple: pick the right target the first time.
