Jackson Laboratory

Academic, Hospitals, & Non-Profit Organizations | Non-Profit Research Institute
Bar Harbor, ME 508-275-3077 Website

Overview

The Jackson Laboratory is a private, non-profit, publicly supported genetics research institute in Bar Harbor, ME. Scientists at Jackson have studied mouse models of human disease for over 75 years and we are currently home to the worlds largest collection genetically defined and genetically engineered mice. We provide mouse models and supporting in vivo services to the global biomedical research community as part of our non-profit mission.

Our mouse models are particularly helpful at two stages of pharmaceutical development; early proof of concept in discovery and as a resource to identify new models for drug rescue or repositioning. Our in vivo services are provided on a fee for service basis and offer access to The Jackson Laboratory’s unmatched knowledge of mouse biology and genetics in a responsive and flexible setting.
