CureDuchenne Ventures launched their 2020 Pitch Contest on June 8, 2020. Through July 13, 2020, they are seeking applications from innovators who are focused on new therapeutics or therapeutic targets, or technology platforms related to Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of esteemed judges from the drug development and venture capital communities. Two applicants will receive no-strings-attached $25,000 awards. These winners will have access to a wide array of experts in Duchenne drug discovery through CureDuchenne’s network and ongoing mentoring from CureDuchenne lead scientists Mike Kelly, PhD, and Lianna Orlando, PhD. Winners will be publicly announced in September 2020.
For over a decade, CureDuchenne Ventures has funded promising research that advances us toward a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. For the first time, CureDuchenne is holding a competition to stimulate and support new, innovative ideas from a wide array of sources.
