MassBio® and EUCOPE strengthen trans-Atlantic ties through partnership agreement

Jun 23, 2022

BRUSSELS & BOSTON – The European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE), the European trade body representing small and mid-sized innovative health technology companies, and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio), the association representing the premier global life sciences and healthcare hub, with 1,500+ members, have signed a reciprocal partnership agreement to foster innovation and collaborations in business and research among their members.

Jason Cordeiro, Chief Business Officer, MassBio says, “Signing this agreement between MassBio and EUCOPE is just the start of a formal relationship between two ecosystems that boast incredible emerging and established companies. We look forward to the expanded collaboration that will benefit members here in Massachusetts and in Europe, but more importantly advance the critical health care innovations being developed on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Alexander Natz, Secretary-General of EUCOPE, explained that this agreement will “strengthen institutional ties and provide a good opportunity to build bridges between the innovative small and mid-sized companies of EUCOPE with the world’s top biomedical ecosystem.”

After formalizing the agreement, EUCOPE and MassBio will begin sharing resources, best-practices and participating in various speaking engagements in Europe and Massachusetts.
