For nearly two decades, RecycleComputers4Cancer.org (a program of SMCAC.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) has been turning used technology into hope. From multinational corporations to local community members, donors provide laptops and other computer equipment that are securely wiped, refurbished, and either placed directly into the hands of cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and cancer organizations or resold to fund critical cancer research.
Donors enjoy free pick-up services, convenient drop-off options, certified secure data destruction, tax-deductible receipts, and the satisfaction of making a meaningful impact—all while avoiding the usual costs of responsible e-waste disposal. Through this simple, feel-good process, RC4C laptops have supported patients and organizations worldwide, as well as right here in Greater Boston, including local nonprofits, research labs, and hospitals.
