Overview

National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association (NTSAD) is one of the oldest patient advocacy organizations in the country. Founded in 1957, we focus on supporting over 800 families and individuals worldwide, advancing research, and raising awareness for Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1, and Sandhoff – ultrarare genetic brain diseases for which there are no approved therapies.

Today, NTSAD is recognized as a leading non-profit patient organization based in Boston with a demonstrated commitment to service, science, and support. The pillars of our mission are family services, research, and advocacy.
